I have learned two things today:
1) Never attempt to try on corsets alone.
2) If you are welling up with tears in a dressing room while stuck in a corset and pray for a fairy godmother, sometimes the universe answers you.
Thanks to the kind sales lady at Macy's who gave me a corset for $11... Only $70 off the original price.
See friends, I'll laugh about it later but I really feel like I am the reason why there will one day be a Twitter hash tag called #bridefail.

The Future
Yes, I know. Where have I been? I'm guessing some of you thought this blog was over.
But after many complaints I at least have time to give you the short story.
For those of you who don't know, The Boyfriend decided to give himself a title upgrade to The Fiancé. Yes, I am engaged.
One of the reasons I haven't written is because I learned that the minute you say yes, you are expected to have the entire wedding planned.
Well, I did not see any of this coming. I'm not the bride who secretly stashed a binder of ideas beginning at age 8. So I got a crash course in figuring all this out.
How did he do it? I promise, I will tell you the whole story.
What happens now? A lot! I have some fun stories to tell. Just need time to tell them.
Are you different? Nah pretty much still me. As judged by this recent converation about my dress coming in 4 months early:
G: So, my dress is in which means I had to scramble and buy shoes online… not sure if I like them, but we'll see.
Fiance: Are the shoes ok for you to go down the aisle w/o falling?
G: They're glitter shoes.
Fiance: But are they safe? Will you be ok?
G: They're glitter shoes.
Fiancé: But what kind of shoes do you need so you'll be ok walking down a staircase and THEN an aisle?
G: Glitter Shoes.
He shook his head and laughed so I assume he understands the logic. Glitter = Magic. So glitter shoes= magic shoes.
But knowing him, he's already invented 20 different ways to prevent me from falling.
Yes, so begins tales of G getting hitched.
