Sometimes, I really step in it. For starters, I decided to postpone my Italy trip. A mix of world chaos + renovation, I figured it would be too stressful. Not to mention, I planned to go with my sister, who I adore, but is an extra level of chaos. I was good with my choice, maybe a tad bummed, but if I have learned anything in my life is that things tend to work out or happen for a reason. Patience tends to show the bigger picture. And then, I stepped in it. I received a text, “I just won an all expenses paid trip to the Kentucky Derby. You in?” Ummm, hell yeah! This is a bucket list item for me. When I was little, going to the track with my Poppie was everything. We had no idea what to expect - is “all expense paid” code for sitting next to the horse poop? Turns out - not so much. I’m about to embark on a 4-day packed trip with seats on Millionaire’s Row and a camera crew following along. Couldn’t have planned a more extravagant trip if I tried…and man are the fine folks in Millionaire’s Row about to learn just how loud two Jersey girls can cheer.
