I have this friend who has a minor love for shopping. However, she's been a little physically challenged as of late, having surgery on Jan. 24, breaking her shoulder on Feb. 24... so this Mar. 24, she decided to stay home, in the event a large meteor would fall from the sky and have her in traction for her birthday, July 24.
However, she grew bored, quickly... so she did what every normal gal would do. She went shopping... still scared to leave the house, she began online shopping. First hitting Target, than CVS (for necessities), than she breezed by Old Navy (with gift card!) and Gap (also with gift card!)...
Still, despite her spree, she grew restless. So she did the next logical thing... exhausted from shopping, she went a got a pedi, which is only a block away, so she figured she would be safe from harm.
The next day, she tore through her chores (she didn't even clean for fear of chemical blindness or slipping while mopping)... even went grocery shopping (which she HATES) and did laundry.
So, how did this girl treat herself today? After a long hard day at work, she accidentally stumbled into Union Station and fell into a shoe store where the lady was too nice to her.. and now she is the proud owner of extremely painful to wear ballerina flats... and a cute headband because the lady insisted she needed a cute new accessory to match her cute, yet painful new shoes.
I know. I'm the stuff that fairy tales really should be made of... except when the bills come in.
